Event Format

Tournament Setup:

  • 4 Person Teams
  • Onsite Registration Begins at 07:30, February 17, 2018
  • Event starts at 08:30
  • 8 Shooting Stations
  • Mulligans can be used only 1 per station per team.  They must be used prior to leaving the station before the score card is finalized.  For time reasons, no going back after leaving station for use of mulligan.
  • Weapons use will vary on each stage
  • Lunch will be "on the fly'; Technip will provide finger food for eating between stations.
  • Awards immediately following completion of event

 

Note that we will not have golf carts available for rent. Provisions will be made for at least one of your team's vehicles to park near the shooting area and you can work out of that vehicle, which may involve some additional walking.


Weapons criteria:

  • Pistols; Semi-automatic only; Calibers 9mm through .45; Minimum capacity of 8+1.  No magnetic, steel core, steel jacketed ammo or magnum rounds.  Minimum ammo requirements are 100 rounds.
  • Shotguns; Pump or Semi-automatic; open gauge; choke of your choosing; Minimum capacity 5 rounds; shot size limited to #6 or smaller in LEAD SHOT ONLY.  Minimum ammo requirements are 25 rounds.
  • Rifle; Semi-Automatic; AR-15, AK 47 or similar calibers (No Magnums); Scoped or open sights; Minimum capacity of 20 rounds.  No magnetic, steel core, steel jacketed ammo or magnum rounds.  Minimum ammo requirements are 100 rounds.
  • Bring your own ammo or Pre Order your ammo for the shoot and it will be available on site at the CCC Tactical Store when you arrive. Go to www.ccctactical.com or e-mail cat@cccshooters.com for details and other items available.

 

Safety

Safety is the most important part of 3 Gun Shoo.  Proper ear and eye protection are mandatory, and firearms safety procedures, as listed in the National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) Rule Book, must be followed at all times while on a course.

Follow the directions of the range officers at all times.  They will help you understand the what you need to do to be safe.  There are no planned prone positions for the rifle course of fire.  There will be no pulling pistols from your holster during shooting a stage.  All firearms will be staged outside of holsters for safer shooting.  Breaking the 180 degree plain will require automatic disqualification from the tournament.

Upon arrival and parking your vehicle, proceed immediately to the weapon/ammo check-in station located in the parking lot. Once cleared you may then place your long guns in the pre-assigned golf carts, provided you rented one or more. Pistols must be holstered or placed in the cart with the long guns.

A Course of Fire manual will be available for downloading by mid February.

 

Weather

Weather contingency, if it rains, we will continue shooting.  If there is lighting, we will have a short delay.  Rain or shine the shoot goes on.  If unable to hold the event, STF will consider reschedule options.

There is ample parking at the Cawthon Cartridge Club.

 

Cancelation Policy

There will be no cancelations for this event.  If the event is canceled, prizes will be raffled-off, and no refunds will be made.
